Prayer of Repentance for Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my weaknesses and the ways I have fallen short. Lord, I ask for Your mercy—wash me clean and renew my spirit. Help me to turn away from sin and walk in the light of Your truth.
Teach me to accept Your forgiveness and to forgive others as You have forgiven me. May this Lent be a time of true repentance, where I surrender my burdens and embrace the freedom that comes through Your grace. Thank you for never giving up on me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In Brazil, the lives of several rural communities are disrupted by industrial agriculture, mining and the Carajás railway. Women are at the heart of the fight to protect the land and the environment from the air, water and soil pollution that they cause. This pollution damages their kitchen gardens and harms the health of their children, families and neighbours.
Courageously, these women resist to continue to exist on their land. To assert and protect their rights, they formed a women’s association called Seeds of the Earth with the support of Justiça nos Trilhos (JnT), a partner of Development and Peace — Caritas Canada.
Discover JnT’s work in our Mini-magazine and learn more about the women by watching their testimonies at devp.org/lent.

.....that in-person Public Speaking Classes for Children (Ages 8-12) are beginning right here in our community!
In today’s world, many children are becoming quieter behind screens — but confidence, courage, and clear communication are skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Our classes use fun, interactive activities and LEGO-based challenges to help children organize their thoughts, speak clearly, and develop confidence in a supportive environment.
If you want your child to become more confident in thinking critically, expressing ideas, sharing opinions, and speaking boldly, we would love to welcome them.
Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
New sessions begin in March at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church.
👉 Please get in touch with Monie Thomas to register and secure your child’s spot.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Your generous donations help support the vital ministries, programs, and outreach efforts of our Parish. With your contributions, we can nurture spiritual growth, provide community services, and maintain a welcoming space for all. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact in fulfilling our Mission.
Four Ways to Give
1. Pre-Authorized Remittances (PAR)
PAR is invaluable to the Parish in these times, as these contributions still arrive even if you can’t. For the Parish, PAR provides a steadier and more predictable stream of funds. This is extremely helpful for budgeting and planning for larger projects. click here
2. E-transfer funds to holyapostlesparish16@gmail.com.
3. Place an envelope in the collection basket at Mass on Sunday. To request Parish-supplied envelopes, please get in touch with the office.
4. Donate using the link below. Your information will be securely processed by "Canada Helps". A Registered Charity & Social Enterprise, used by over 20,000 charities. Please note that when donating through Canada Helps, tax receipts will be issued by Canada Helps directly, not Holy Apostles Parish. click here

O gracious Master, infuse in our hearts the spotless light of Your Divine Wisdom and open the eyes of our mind that we may understand the teachings of Your Gospel. Instill in us also the fear of Your blessed commandments, so that having curbed all carnal desires, we may lead a spiritual life, both thinking and doing everything to please You. For You, O Christ, our God, are the enlightenment of our souls and bodies; and to You we render glory, together with Your eternal Father, and with Your all-holy, life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

Development and Peace — Caritas Canada’s work in a nutshell
Dignity, participation, solidarity, the preferential option for people experiencing poverty and integrity. These are the values at the heart of the work of Development and Peace — Caritas Canada, the official international development organization of the Catholic Church in Canada. Since 1967, we’ve been walking hand in hand with communities in the Global South to promote justice, peace and dignity.
Guided by Catholic Social Teaching, we support partner-led projects that reach over 7 million people across more than 30 countries worldwide.
Watch this one-minute video for a glimpse of what solidarity looks like. Share it widely, and join our effort.
