Each year, the Knights of Columbus work to ensure that every child in our community has a warm winter coat. Last year, thanks to your incredible generosity, we purchased 336 winter coats for children across Holy Apostles Parish, reaching families in New Ross, Chester, Hubbards, Tantallon, Hammonds Plains, Timberlea, Prospect, and Shad Bay.
In anticipation of the need again this year, the Council has already placed an order for 360 coats valued at $11,430 (30 x $381) and we’re asking our parish community to once again come together and sponsor a coat (or several!) for a local child in need. Each coat costs just $31.75, thanks to a national procurement program that keeps costs low.
How You Can Help ⤵️ Consider prayerfully sponsoring one or more coats Donations can be made via cheque or e-transfer to ssvpsmbc@gmail.com (Please note “Coats for Kids” in the message line.) All donations made through SSVP are eligible for an income tax receipt.
Thank you for your continued kindness, generosity, and prayerful support! God bless you, The Knights of Columbus Council 12917
